My name is Sylvia Daniela Santana, I'm 22. I was
born in Coronado, CA. on November 22. Well I'm going to give you information about me...I live with my parents and my little
and only sister. I live happy in my house with them.
My sister's name is Berenice, she is 14 years old and she
is a 9th grader in high school. My father's name is Daniel, and my mother's name is Silvia.
I have one cat, his name is Gizmo,
but I call him in different ways, for example: Pa', Chikitin, Hombecito, Chikitwinky...I really love my gatito!!!!
My favorite singer is JuanEs, I have all his
CD's and many posters of him. When I went to his concert, I took a big flag of Colombia made for my mom.
I'm new in Southwestern College, and I'm taking
ESL classes.
The benefits of learning English as a Second Lenguage reach beyond economic, educational, and employment
advantages. It also increases my linguistic abilities because bilingual student are better able to comprehend the complexities
associated with a particular language's meaning and grammar.
If I learn English as a second language I'm able
to expand my vocabulary across both languages at a faster rate than my mono-linguistic peers.
